Cedar Ridge Middle School Field Trips to the Bull Run Watershed!

Both of the Environmental Science classes at Cedar Ridge Middle School ventured into a seldom seen area during the week of Sept. 21, when they each had a field trip to the Bull Run Watershed. The first, Mr. Kanable's, spent time on and around the dam at Reservoir 1, conducting experiments on water turbidity and water temperature, while also exploring the surrounding forest. Ms. Kahl's class took a hike to a monitoring station above Reservoir 1, getting to see the old growth forest and even a hard-to-find Rubber Boa!
